Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to Vaults Below and its website, accounts, campaigns, multiplayer features, and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access. You may not sell, transfer, share, or impersonate another person's account.
The service
Vaults Below provides browser-based fantasy campaign play, character creation, room exploration, combat, story progression, chat, friends, invitations, and persistent campaign saves. Features may change as the service is developed and maintained.
Campaign ownership and access
A campaign creator owns and launches that campaign save. Other players may join through an invitation or valid join code. Campaign ownership does not grant access to hidden server information, secret checks, unrevealed content, developer tools, or another user's private account information.
Fair play
You may not exploit bugs, duplicate commands, manipulate network traffic, bypass permissions, automate gameplay without permission, access hidden campaign data, alter another player's character, or interfere with the service. Report serious exploits rather than using or sharing them.
Player conduct
User Conduct. No abuse. Do not use Vaults Below to harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud, or abuse others. Do not send unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, malicious, or disruptive content through chat, display names, campaign titles, or other player-facing fields.
User content
You retain ownership of original text and character material you submit. You grant Vaults Below permission to store, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate campaigns and multiplayer features. You are responsible for ensuring that your submissions do not violate another person's rights.
Vaults Below content
The Vaults Below name, setting, chapter content, artwork, interface, code, and original game material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that material to users.
Availability and changes
The service may be updated, interrupted, limited, or discontinued. Maintenance, security incidents, hosting failures, software errors, and other events may affect access. Vaults Below does not guarantee uninterrupted service or permanent availability of every feature.
Suspension and termination
Access may be limited, suspended, or terminated for security risks, unlawful conduct, abuse, cheating, repeated disruption, or material violation of these Terms. You may stop using the service or request account deactivation at any time.
Disclaimers
Vaults Below is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. Use of the service is at your own risk. Game outcomes, lost progress, interrupted sessions, or unavailable features may occur despite reasonable safeguards.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Vaults Below and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as the service changes. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
